Daily Excursions from Catania
Private tour available in English, Spanish, and Italian.
9:00 AM Departure from Catania, with hotel pickup available prior to departure. If your hotel is located in a restricted traffic zone, we will meet at the nearest “meeting point.”
Our first destination is Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe! Along the way, we will stop to photograph the house buried by lava, walk along the "Silvestri Craters" - a natural reserve in Italy - and enjoy magnificent views extending to the coast of Catania. We will pause for restroom facilities and a possible hot beverage.
Next, we'll continue our walk to the "Grotta dei Tre Livelli" for panoramic photos. You'll also enjoy a complimentary tasting of local honey, wine, and olive oil. After bidding farewell to the volcano, we'll head to Taormina, a favorite destination of European nobles and artists in the 19th century, made famous by Goethe's writings.
Taormina, known as the "terrace on the sea," boasts the ancient Greek Theater, home to the annual "Taormina Film Fest." The breathtaking panorama from every angle is simply stunning. The Villa Comunale, designed by the English noblewoman Lady Florence Trevelyan, features pavilions inspired by oriental architecture, fragrant Mediterranean and exotic plants, and an unforgettable view of Mount Etna and the Gulf of Giardini-Naxos.
Corso Umberto, with its charming boutiques, has become a "temple of luxury." Historic bars, traditional restaurants, and souvenir shops all contribute to joyful senses and experiences.
The tour lasts approximately 8 hours and costs €320 for 1 to 4 people. An additional €220 is required for departures from Syracuse.

The park, now a protected oasis, is immersed in a natural setting with unique monuments:
The Ancient Theater - The Ear of Dionysius - The Cordari Cave - The Roman Amphitheater - The Altar of Hiero II - The Paradise Quarry.
The visit inside the park is individual and autonomous with the purchase of a personal entrance ticket.
After spending 90 minutes for the visit, we will head towards the oldest part of Syracuse: the island of Ortigia.
We will visit the historic market with its scents and colors, the Temple of Apollo, the Fountain of Diana, the Cathedral of Maria Santissima, and the Church of St. Lucia.
Then we will wander through the alleyways until we reach the Arethusa Fountain, a water mirror inside which grows the ancient plant of "Cyperus Papyrus."

There we will admire the imposing Palazzo dei Frati Francescani, the Benedictine Friars' Palace, the Cathedral of S. Nicola, the Palazzo Ducezio, and conclude our tour with a visit to what is considered the finest example of Sicilian Baroque: Palazzo Nicolaci.
Once the visit is complete, we will return to Catania.
The tour lasts approximately 9 hours.

Our destination will be the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, a unique and well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage site. It features the remains of ten Doric temples, built as a tribute to Zeus following the victory over the Carthaginians. Among these, the most famous is the "Temple of Concordia." Additionally, there are three sanctuaries, a concentration of necropolises, fortifications, and two Agoras. The walking route inside the Valley is approximately two kilometers long.
The entrance ticket to the Valley and the choice of a guide will be purchased individually.
